At first, he planned to finish the song by himself but got stuck after writing most of the words and music.
Sean Wiggins, a long-time friend and fellow songwriter, offered assistance. Wiggins added a bridge and more words, but because of personal issues, she returned the song to Mot. Mot then asked Stephen Thomas Sims, someone he often worked with, to complete the words, tune, and rhythm.
