VostokSounds’ Frameworks EP: A Masterclass in Genre-Bending Instrumental Music

VostokSounds Delivers a Captivating Collection of Art Rock and Electronic Soundscapes

VostokSounds, the vision of a skilled composer, arranger, and producer, offers his latest creation, Frameworks, an original 4-track EP released on 29 November 2024. This instrumental music compilation deftly combines elements of progressive rock, ambient electronic, and trip hop, highlighting VostokSounds’ distinctive artistic approach.

The EP, a product of the quiet time during lockdown, allowed the artist to experiment with fresh concepts, culminating in these four individual pieces. We invite you to activate the accompanying audio player below to immerse yourself in the sound journey that is Frameworks, and continue with our article for more insights into this notable release.

The Frameworks EP stands out as a purely instrumental offering, resisting a single style, with each of its four tracks presenting downtempo instrumental music with a slightly varied sound. VostokSounds, who composed, arranged, and produced all tracks, also performed all guitar and synth parts and managed the programming. Much of the recording took place in his home studio, using production techniques honed during his time as a studio engineer.

His former sound engineering teacher, Alex Burak, contributed upright bass to “Framework #1,” while Matt Copson played bass guitar on other tracks, bringing a rock funk feel to “Framework #3.” This careful crafting of soundscapes is clear throughout the EP, and we encourage you to listen to our curated instrumental rock playlist to discover more artists pushing similar creative edges.
