Schieveld was raised on traditional country and names Merle Haggard as the benchmark. The playing came first. The company’s own site lists guitar, banjo and harmonica, and keyboard lessons are still under way. Before any recording, there were years of jamming with friends. There was also a working life far from studios, including six years in the military.
The YouTube channel dates back to June 2008. However, the current body of work starts much later. Since mid-2021, most uploads have carried a track number from one collection, Mixed Genres Only. The numbers do not follow the calendar. For example, Rodeo & Bluegrass, numbered 16, went up in June 2021. Going Home, numbered 3, followed a year later. Then, in July 2024, came a live jam on Albatross, the 1968 instrumental by Fleetwood Mac.
Alongside the uploads, Schieveld has entered the songs in contests, and the certificates on the company site trace the climb. First came a semi-final place in the 2021 Unsigned Only Music Competition. Next, She’ll Be My Undoing, credited to Schieveld and Martin DeBourge, reached the final for Best Traditional Country Song at the World Songwriting Awards in summer 2022. Then, in 2024, the Elite Music Awards placed Schieveld fourth for Producer of the Year.
The turning point arrived in June 2024 with Tears of Silence. Schieveld wrote it for people who have lost a partner, after losses in the family. The shop credits the song to Schieveld and Brittany Ray, a singer from Nashville. By late September 2026 it had passed 46,000 views, more than any other upload on the channel since mid-2021.
Truck Driver Lady Sells Direct, With No Streaming Net Underneath
Truck Driver Lady is the third Schieveld song credited with Brittany Ray, after Tears of Silence and All It Takes Is a Simple Melody. It runs three minutes and 47 seconds. The shop files it under Country Trucker Music, and the YouTube upload frames it as a tribute to women who drive trucks. Later, the video placed eighth for Music Video of the Year at the 2026 Elite Music Awards.
The view counts show why that partnership matters. In fact, the three most-watched uploads on the channel since mid-2021 are the three songs with Brittany Ray on the credits. Tears of Silence leads, All It Takes Is a Simple Melody follows, and Truck Driver Lady had passed 18,700 views by late September. The instrumentals sit below all three.
The sale happens in one place. The shop’s sample files record the order of events: twelve of them, Truck Driver Lady included, carry a March 2026 date. The song itself has been public since the January upload. Even so, the company’s own announcement did not go out until 29 August 2026.
Selling direct has a mixed record at the top of country music. Garth Brooks refused for years to let any online store sell his music. Then, in November 2014, he opened a download store of his own, GhostTunes. It lasted just over two years, and in 2017 its customers were moved to Amazon.
Schieveld runs a far smaller operation, but the trade-off is the same. On one side, there is full control of price, licence and presentation. In return, there is no playlist algorithm doing the finding. As a result, every listener has to arrive through YouTube, the company website or word of mouth.
After Truck Driver Lady Came Track 17, a Christmas Train and a Growing Shop
Meanwhile, the upload schedule has picked up since January. Romantic NightSky, numbered 6, arrived in April 2026. After that, Tropical Voltage, numbered 17 and filed under GrooveFushion, went up on 3 September 2026. It passed 6,800 views inside four weeks.
The shop keeps moving too. Four tracks joined it in August, including Grandma’s Final Journey, which carries spoken lyrics. Two more followed in September. One of them, Magical Christmas Train, is a Christmas cinematic cut that has not appeared on the YouTube channel yet. Meanwhile, the home page promises that new MP3s will keep arriving on a regular basis.
The vocal partnership is still the piece to watch. Three songs in, it has drawn the channel’s biggest audiences. Therefore, the next vocal release will show how far a direct-sale model can carry a song that YouTube viewers have already chosen.
